Unfortunately,due to unforseen circumstances, the venue for the Young Entrepreneurs Conference has changed.
This portion of the conference will be held Thursday night only, August 9, 2007 at 800 So. Cicero from 6-10 p.m.

My name is Eliyannah A. Yisrael, I am a dedicated filmmaker, a passionate storyteller and a humble servant of God. I have committed to making my central focus helping to change the stereotypes of young people and especially minorities and women in film. I plan to do my part in transposing the negative images perceived of these target groups. I hope to assist in developing more affirmative, respectful, and credible media images. I am striving to tell the stories of the black experience, as well as the plight of women without exploiting those cultures and its values. My work is also created and produced to uplift the younger generation highlighting young women using film as a tool. I am creating a not-for-profit organization geared to work within the community.
The recent events and turmoil in my community is a call for everyone to take action. Our youth are in trouble! I am a 23 year old African American female who is answering the call in my own way. I know that my spirit will not rest as long as I am sitting at home shaking my head at the behavior of my peers and those of my younger siblings. I pray, and will continue to ray, for relief for my people. I pray knowing that faith without works id dead, and now that my prayer has been sent before the face of the Lord, it is time to DO. With the help of my mother and the input of family and friends, I am organizing a Stop the Violence Youth Empowerment Summit to be help August 5 2007 in Chicago, IL. Supporting me means supporting the youth at-risk of failure.
